Christmas Day 2009

Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The morning started fairly early. Chris and I were up around 7:30 to get breakfast started. We had a breakfast casserole, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, and danish for breakfast with a little mimosa to wash it all down with. The kids were so excited to see that Santa had come and left 3 piles of presents. After my parents and my sister and her family arrived arrived, we finally let the kids tear into all their gifts. Isabel is so sweet. She wanted Collin to open the first one. She was really sweet about taking her time this year. She really does have a good heart. Derick was so excited about the things he got this year. I think he got everything he had asked for. Collin is still a little young to understand everything that is going on and is not patient about opening gifts at all. Here are a few pictures from our day.

Christmas Eve 2009

This year we went to my parent's house for Christmas Eve dinner. We went a very non-traditional route and had steaks for dinner...but they were some of the best steaks I've ever had. We were also blessed this year to have my sister, her husband Greg and their kids Taylor, Landon and Abigail in town to celebrate with us. Following dinner we exchanged gifts.

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

As a tradition, I get the kids new Christmas pajamas every year. This past Friday, I found them each a pair and got them to put them on and let me get a few shots in front of the Christmas tree. Well Derick and Isabel got their pictures made in front of the tree...Collin was not quite so cooperative.

Christmas Spectacular 2009

Last night Isabel and I went to see the Rockettes perform their Christmas show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta. We went with my mom, my friend Susan Allen and her daughter Delia, and my friend Michelle and her mother-in-law Penny. This is the third time I've seen their Christmas show and it didn't disappoint. It is such a wonderful show. The nativity scene at the end puts goosebumps on my arms. After the show we had a wonderful dinner in midtown. Look forward to doing it again some time.
