Collin turned 2 months yesterday. Today we went for his checkup and he has grown quite a bit in 2 months. He weighed 12 lbs 8 oz and was 22 inches long. He also got three shots this trip which he wasn't happy about. We go back in 2 months for his next checkup.
I had my surgery yesterday. Everything with the surgery went well. My arm is wrapped up above the elbow so I have very limited movement. It is also quite sore. Thank goodness for pain killers. I go back on the 8th for a check-up on my arm. I'll let ya'll know how that goes.

Broken Arm Update
I went to the doctor today and the news wasn't great. My break is more displaced now than three weeks ago so I have to have a metal plate and screws placed in my arm tomorrow. It is an out patient procedure so I'll be home tomorrow after the surgery but they do have to put me out. I'll post another update afterwards to let everyone know how it goes.

Our New Car
Wednesday I finally got a call about the verdict on the Honda. As we expected the insurance company considered it a total loss. We were also informed that we would only be allowed to keep the rental for another week. We had already been doing some shopping on-line for what we might get if the Honda was totaled and after looking at our options we settled on another Honda Accord. We went Wednesday and looked at the colors we liked and settled on the silver one. They didn't have one at the dealership so we had to wait till today to get it.
Collin's Baptism
We had Collin baptized on Sunday August 10th. He was a little grumpy that morning but he was such a good boy during the service.

Crash...
Isabel and I were involved in a car accident yesterday evening. It wasn't my fault. The car I hit ran a stop sign and I hit the driver's side of the car. We both went to the emergency room but neither of us had serious injuries. Isabel had some minor abrasions on her neck but other than that she is fine. I,on the other hand, have a broken forearm. I went and had a cast put on it today. Other than that I'm fine, though this will make taking care of a newborn interesting. Seeing the pictures of the car, I feel blessed that we weren't hurt any worse.

First Day Of School 2008
Today is the first day of school for Derick and Isabel. Derick is in 3rd grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Decker. Isabel is in 1st grade and her teacher is Ms. O'Malley. They got a slow start this morning but I think they were both excited about going back.
