Hello to all,
I have been working over the holidays! For those of you who work with me know this is not out of the ordinary. I found a website which allows teachers to create proposals for classroom projects. The request cannot come from administrators or boards. Only persons who work directly with students can create the proposals. My classroom project was approved and posted.
This year we are using a program called PixWriter to help my Autistic students reach the curriculum. I am able to type in text from our science and social studies books and it adds pictures above the text to help students understand the text. The program can also be used to help students create retelling of stories we read in the classroom to build comprehension. It is helping but it is using a lot of ink. Our proposal is asking for people to help us reach our goal for ink, paper, and notebooks. The faster we get donations, the faster the materials will reach us. The link is below. Please forward this email to everyone in your address book. I do not mind where funds come from and every little bit helps. A dollar here and there will help us get the materials we need. Thank you for your help!!! The great thing about this website is people who visit the website can choose projects they wish to support.
Thank you for your help. I have not used this site before so I am curious to see what becomes of our project.
